And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:19 (NIV)
“Life is supposed to be different.” At least, so you think.
“I’m supposed to be married by now. I’m supposed to be in my husband’s home. I’m supposed to have my first child, a beautiful baby boy. I’m supposed to have an awesome job that gives me enough time to do other things like socialise. I’m supposed to have more free time on my hands.” The list goes on and on but let’s take an inventory of what you do have.
You have breath in your lungs. You have good vision and eyesight if you are reading this. You have just what you need, for where you are.
Why then are we worried when God has said, He will supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus? You see, the glass that is half full is more beneficial than the one which is half empty.
They may appear to be the same thing but one of them operates in a space of faith, and that is the glass that is half full. A person operating in this paradigm sees what the Lord has done and also what the Lord is capable of doing. You see, one whose glass is half full is excited about the empty space because he knows the multitude of possibilities that God can manifest in that space.
Let’s be more excited about our points of need and the infinite miracles that God can perform in our lives in that seemingly empty space. A glass that is half full is a glass that has room for God to fill it.
PRAYER: My Maker, my Redeemer and my Lord, You are the God of the whole earth. Thank You for my life. Thank You that though my eyes may not see, nor my mind comprehend, still You are providing for my needs. Help me give thanks in everything. In Jesus’ name.
