A LIFE LAID DOWN

A LIFE LAID DOWN

A LIFE LAID DOWN 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise – Psalm 51:17

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?

It’s a question that you never hear answered, only asked.

One thing is clear though, eventually something has to give.

For the sake of this discussion: God, the maker of Heaven and Earth, is the unstoppable force, the Power above all powers, the Love that transforms, delivers, and sets free. You, are the immovable object. And eventually, something must give.

We each have been given a freedom that God, for all of His power, cannot take away. This choice is what makes us so immovable when we decide to live life our way.

What our flesh does not realize, is that when we fight God we fight our very selves because He is the one who made us and knows how best we can live.

The resistance we put up to God may seem strong, but eventually every man dies and faces judgment.

No one can beat God, and to even think about resisting Him is how the enemy gets us to waste time that could have been spent living life abundantly.

So, don’t be so immovable! Surrender again to God, His yoke is easy and His burden is light!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the power of choice. Thank You for pouring out your Spirit upon me and giving me the opportunity to know You more. Please help me to have a broken spirit and a contrite heart. I lay my will aside and submit to Your will in Jesus name. Amen.
