AFTER I HEARD OF YOUR FAITH IN THE LORD

AFTER I HEARD OF YOUR FAITH IN THE LORD

AFTER I HEARD OF YOUR FAITH IN THE LORD 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

‘Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: ‘ – Ephesians 1:15-16 NKJV

I was with a group of friends one night and we started to share testimonies of what God has done.

There were many good things such as school admission acceptances, wisdom and strength on assignments and provision; but the real testimony was what God was doing in our spiritual lives.

One by one, we shared about how we grew in trusting God over the past year, in learning to obey God and in relying on His word.

Some shared of the faithfulness of God. Others talked of the strength and grace to share the gospel and lead others to salvation. Praise God!!!

The Lord showed me that the greatest testimony was in our growing relationship with Him. That night we remembered the ways in which God had revealed Himself to us.

Paul in the book of Ephesians had prayed along these lines for the Ephesian believers: ‘that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, ‘ – Ephesians 1:17-18 NKJV

Paul was happy to hear of their faith, but he prayed that they would receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. He prayed that they would understand and know the hope of His calling, His invitation.

The revelation of Him is the testimony that allows us to overcome. As we come to know more about this wonderful and mighty God, we can overcome, by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, and not love our lives until death – because of such a revelation of who God is.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord, for the revelation of who You are. Thank You that we can always grow in the knowledge of God. Thank You Lord that there is more in You. May we never lose our wonder. In Jesus name. Amen.
