A New Habit

A New Habit

A New Habit 1024 683 Bethel Campus Fellowship

2 Timothy 3:16-17 –

Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character, so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good.

The truth is, there is nothing more powerful than the Word of God!  It has the answer to every question you will ever ask, and it contains the power to meet every need in your life. The Word promises that if you will obey Him, it will produce health for your body.  In essence, it has and is the answer to every human need. There is no better time than now to begin a new habit, the habit of studying the Word of God. This is the time to commit to studying the Bible daily.

If you neglect God’s Word and fail to include it in your life daily, it will affect every part of your life.  It may not be noticeable at first, but you will eventually feel it. The regular absence of God’s Word from your life will jeopardize your faith, steal your joy, and produce an intolerance of people that not only disgusts others and God but you as well.  By not reading your Bible daily, you will not be able to improve your ability to be spiritually productive and eventually, you will find yourself spiritually dead.

The correction that comes from God’s Word can bring a person that has been knocked flat on their back up on their feet.  It has the power to return them to life regardless of how long they have been down and out. Once back on their feet, the Word of God can become his compass in life.

When you can see the benefits of God’s Word, it is almost impossible to imagine how you would ever skip a day of reading the Bible. It literally has the power to change your life and put you on a path to success.

Begin this new habit and begin it today.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing to me the power of Your Word and what it can do in my life and the life of anyone who reads it. Thank You for Your Word.  Please, give me the grace and strength to begin a habit of regularly reading and studying Your Word. Open my eyes to see the Spirit of what Your Word is saying. Give me ears to Hear Your Word and grant me understanding and conviction.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
