BE SANCTIFIED AS YOU KNOW (2)

BE SANCTIFIED AS YOU KNOW (2)

BE SANCTIFIED AS YOU KNOW (2) 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

Philemon 1:6 (NKJV) – “That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

Yesterday we learned more about freedom from sin and the power we have through a new life. We are indeed sanctified if truly we believe that Christ died for us, was buried, and rose again on the third day. His death, burial and resurrection does not only serve a historical significance for us to accept as true, but are the way, the truth, and the life.

His death, burial and resurrection serve the purpose of transforming us into sanctified believers because we died with Him, were buried with Him in baptism and raised to newness of life like Him. That part at the end is vital: we were raised WITH Him. Because He lives we CAN live holy because it is not us living but Christ living through us.

Romans 6:4 – Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

You now have true liberty to walk in holiness if indeed you would believe the word of God. That is the power of Christ’s resurrection and this is what many believers overlook. The life of Christ is more than His death at the cross. It is the fact that He still lives!

This is the truth about sanctification and the only way to be truly sanctified. Know what Jesus Christ did for you through His death, burial and resurrection by meditating on these scriptures and praying that they become a reality in your life.

Sanctification is not by your effort alone, but instead comes by God’s mercy and grace. It is received by faith as we submit to His Spirit and the convictions He impresses on us as we study His word. Titus 3: 3-6 (NLT) – Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But—When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for all you have made available for my sanctification. Let the power in your word come real in my life. From today, I receive the liberty to walk in holiness and true righteousness all the days of my life in Jesus name. Amen.
