Joshua 24:15 NKJV- ‘And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.’
God is in pursuit of our hearts. A heart alludes to the core of our body or the focal point. Take Earth’s core as an example. It is 3,959 miles away. That’s extremely deep. So, when I say God is in pursuit of our hearts, I mean He is in pursuit of the deepest most core parts of us. He won’t settle for a surface layer of ourselves. He wants the parts of us that can’t be humanly reached, the very foundation of ourselves. And He won’t stop until He has it all. Relentless is His pursuit for us and His love is unmatched. Still, we must decide for ourselves that we will serve God and only God with complete devotion regardless of what life throws. The decision is ours but remember no other god can love you like He does, pursue you like He does, or provide and protect you like He does. Remain in Him and serve Him always. Let no other thing or person take His place in your life and household.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please open my eyes to see that you are the only God I need. Help me in all that I do and help me to give my all to you knowing that you can be trusted. Give me and my household all that we need to serve you all the days of our life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
