Acts 14 vs 22: Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.(KJV)
Today’s devotional is a reminder about Christian suffering according to the will of God.
Kindly meditate on the following scriptures and let them prepare you to endure suffering with a Christ-like attitude.
Hebrews 2:10 : For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (NKJV)
Hebrews 5:7-9: who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, (NKJV)
1 Peter 4:1-2: Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. (NLT)
PRAYER: Thank you Lord Jesus for the privilege of being a joint heir with you. Thank you for the privilege to share in your sufferings. Please give me the grace to have a biblical understanding and attitude to suffering according to your will. Because you overcame, I will also overcome and my life will give you glory in Jesus name. Amen.
