DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free” Luke 4:18

In the last few years, we witnessed COVID-19 related sicknesses and deaths on a large scale. We also witnessed a restriction of movement and public gatherings. In the midst of all these, people are also losing their mental, psychological, financial and spiritual freedoms.

The Covid-19 pandemic and events that followed can be connected to Satan’s strategy to steal, kill, and destroy.

But the good news is as Jesus declared in the Jewish synagogue and to the public, God has also anointed and commissioned you and I to proclaim the good news to the poor and declare independence to those in the prison of life, under various sieges and bondages.

He has sent us to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind; to set the oppressed free. All power, authority, and right to proclaim the emancipating gospel truth to those who are spiritually in trouble has been given to you.

See what the Bible says: “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: Romans 10:8. God’s word is in your mouth, you have been equipped to be a servant and representative of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Be bold, be courageous, and do not withhold proclaiming the good news to the weary around you because the scriptures cannot be chained or broken. Like David in 1 Samuel 17, do not be intimidated by any Goliaths standing in your way and do not be afraid. You have been commissioned by God for a time like this. (Esther 4:14)

2 Timothy 1:6-7: Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (NKJV)

Mark 16:15-18: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”(NKJV)

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for calling, choosing, ordaining and anointing me and sending me to be your voice and mouthpiece. I go out by faith in the power of your Spirit to set the captives free in Jesus name. Help me as I go and bring glory to your Name by what you do through me in Jesus name. Amen.
