“If you have raced with men on foot, and they have wearied you, how will you compete with horses? – Jeremiah 12:5

The call of God on your life is grand.

God sees a future within you that you could not possibly conceive for yourself. When he challenges you with tough experiences, it is to produce something in you, to glorify Himself through your surrender.

In the book of Jeremiah, the prophet is called to tell the Israelites that they will soon be destroyed and captured.

This message is a painful one to give and it makes Jeremiah a lonely and persecuted man. Several times, throughout the book he asks God why the wicked flourished while he suffered. He also asked God to ease his pain.

God reminds Jeremiah of his call and purpose severally in the book!

Jeremiah saw the men that had wearied him, not knowing that God was preparing him to compete with horses. God did not give up on Jeremiah, and He wanted him to see that his perseverance was worth something. He knew that tougher times were coming and so he prepared Jeremiah for that ahead of time, as a good Father.

Are you going through a difficult time in the midst of what God has called you to?

Seek His face!

The bible says in Romans chapter 5v4 that perseverance produces character, and character produces hope!

So please, seek His face and do not give up! Dig deep.

PRAYER: Lord, I am tired and I need to hear your voice. I am here looking for your answer, a place of refuge for my spirit. Holy Spirit fill me again, and revive my heart. I choose to follow you afresh Lord, give me the strength to do so because I have no power of my own. In Jesus name. Amen.
