Galatians 6:9 NIV – ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’
Have you been trusting God to bring about your heart’s desire? Are you a bit discouraged during this time of waiting? I encourage you not to quit trusting Him.
You can rest in this truth; If you don’t give up prioritizing God’s desires for His kingdom and His righteousness above all else, God certainly won’t fail to perform His Word for you! And this is His Word in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
It’s exciting to plant seeds of faith and it’s even more exciting when the harvest comes. But you can’t forget about the time in between. As you wait for the harvest, you must hold tight to God’s commands and walk in obedience. Remember that your seeds of righteousness have a set time and a set season where they will produce fruit. In the same way, seeds of unrighteousness will produce bad fruit [Galatians 6:8-9, Job 4:8, and Hosea 10:13]. One thing for sure, you can expect a harvest. It’s up to you what kind it will be. If you have to wait, why not wait the right way?
Whatever you are trusting God for – maybe salvation for your family, a financial breakthrough, a breakthrough in a relationship, physical healing, or restoration in some other area – rest in the truth that God’s Word and promises are true. The waiting will end.
Remember this so that your focus remains on God and the endurance of your faith. Remain committed, thanking Him for His daily provision and the harvest in store that is tailor-made just for you!
PRAYER: Lord God, I ask for patience in my walk of faith. Holy Spirit teach me to be content with what I have so that I do not forsake righteousness for the cares of this world. As I wait for the seeds I’ve sown to grow and multiply in my life, continue to teach me Your ways. Thank You for the plan You have meticulously carved out for my life. You are faithful and Your Word is true. Beginning today I rest in those truths. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
