even still

even still

even still 1024 678 Bethel Campus Fellowship

our hearts and minds are always fixated on what we don’t have
the perfect life, the perfect relationship, the perfect car, you name it
it’s almost as if the words that fall off of our lips reveal the lack of gratitude that lays deep in our hearts
and although you may not be where you want to be, there is so much to be grateful for.

the breath in our lungs
the money in our bank accounts, no matter how big or small
the food on our tables
the roof over our heads
the clothes on our precious backs
can’t you see that there is so much for us to be grateful for?

or look at it like this, you may think that your life is messed up because of all the decisions your two precious hands have made

but can I tell you that even in this, there are still things you can be grateful for?

in your eyes, your life may indeed be messed up and full of countless mistakes. But you can still be grateful that you serve a God who can take those very mistakes and redeem them for your good.

be grateful that you’re human. The acts your human hands have committed are not powerful enough to distort the plan God has for you. And that my friends, is good news.

be grateful that you serve a God who is outside of the very boundaries that contain us, a God that is not limited by time, a God that can redeem what our human eyes consider unredeemable.

be grateful that you know a God whose love transcends our capacity of knowledge, so much so that He sent His Son to become sin for us, so that we may become the righteousness of God in Him.

in all things, let your heart swell with gratitude like a balloon being filled with water on a hot summer day.

and even though the very things in front of us demand a heart and mouth full of complaints and anguish, on the other side of it all – there is still something to be grateful for.
