FAITH

FAITH

FAITH 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

“…And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,” Colossians 3:23 (NKJV)

There are many ways to find a niche, many ways to apply oneself on this earth. Some good, some bad, some easy, some hard. Some lucrative but hopeless, and some noble but misguided.

The need to find the “right path” for one’s life is heavy in our society where “success” is idolized.

Rather than try to paint a perfect solution, I want to hone in on what our reference scripture says on faith.

If we can have faith, real rugged, Godly faith, then whatsoever we do will be subject to God’s will. If it is wrong He will correct us, if it is unclear He will encourage, if it is difficult He will support us, if we are misleading ourselves, He will show. But no matter what, if faith is there, true faith in Him, whatever the outcome is, it will be beautiful.

This faith I speak about is simply believing God in all things, for the next day, for life’s issues. It is hard for the carnal mind to believe that faith actually can produce fruit in the “real world”. What about tactics? Strategy? Networking? Your passion? Money? Etc.

The idea is that those things, while not bad, are secondary and useless without faith. Faith is what takes ordinary men and makes them supernatural.

Faith is what takes a carpenter, computer scientist, baker, friend, son, _______, and makes them eternally sound, dominant in the earth as God intended.

If you only want to live a pleasant life by the average man’s standards, then there is no reason to pursue God. But if you want to please Him, there is no other way but by the faith that He gives when we trust His word.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. – Hebrews 11:26 (NLT)

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me a heart that totally depends on you in faith. You are my maker, You have a perfect plan for me and you know what is good for me. Give me the grace to say no to worldly standards and ambitions and say yes to Your will everyday of my life in Jesus name. Amen.
