Mark 11:26 NKJV – ‘But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.’
There is more power in forgiveness than we realize.
God sent His Son and forgave us of all the things we have done against Him. Due to God’s love, He was able to forgive us for all our wrongdoings.
To believe that someone has wronged you so greatly that you are unable to forgive them is absurd, and if we find ourselves in that place we are inadvertently asking our Father not to forgive us also.
Can you imagine God not forgiving you?; it is unthinkable.
Our reference scripture shows the urgency of seeking God and praying for the power and humility to forgive.
So, when next you hear that forgiveness isn’t for the other person but it is for you, please remember that it truly is for you.
There is so much power and liberation in forgiveness. Do not pride yourself in unforgiveness because unforgiveness alone can kill the soul.
PRAYER: Lord, I️ thank You for forgiving me for all my trespasses. Show me how to forgive others and help me to truly grow in humility. Let me see others the way you see them with love. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
