Hebrews 13:20-21: Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (NKJV)
Who delivered Mary Magdalene from seven evil spirits? Was it not our great Messiah and Savior, Jesus Christ, the One who created the heavens and the earth? It sure was! Or the woman with the issue of blood? It was Jesus. How about the One who healed a man who was blind from birth? Was it not our King, Jesus? It was.
With all of God’s host of angels, I sing, “Hosanna!” He is the highest ranking King whose works are unmatched. I choose this day to lift His glorious name – for He has healed the blind, proclaimed good news to the poor, comforted those who mourn, drawn people out of darkness and into His marvelous light, and most of all, has lovingly and graciously laid down His life in my place.
What a good, selfless Savior, humble in all His ways, advocating for the weak and teaching those who are shepherdless. And so I say thanks to my Savior for His pure, sacrificial body and blood, my Great High Priest.
PRAYER: Thank you Jesus, our Savior, Messiah and Great Shepherd of the sheep. We thank you for your goodness today and forever. Amen.
