Romans 8:28 AMP – ‘And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.’
Preaching the gospel accurately and instructing others in righteousness must always have these crucial components: HOPE AND RESTORATION.
While we live in a world where mistakes usually lead to fatal consequences, we serve a God who is full of mercy.
What mistakes have you made recently? What regrets do you have about past decisions?
God is promising you that if you accept your error and turn back to Him, He will use the situation for His glory and for your good.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: When you receive God’s word in the PRESENT, He provides you an opportunity for forgiveness and mercy for your PAST if you repent and choose His way. He also provides an assurance for a glorious FUTURE when you choose to forget the past, walk in His way, love Him and obey Him.
Phillippians 3:13 (ERV) says, ‘Brothers and sisters, I know that I still have a long way to go. But there is one thing I do: I forget what is in the past…’
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the hope of a glorious future despite my past errors. Beginning today, I choose to follow you wholeheartedly and do things your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
