Revelation 21:1-5: Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
If you are a phone manufacturer; you know exactly what is needed for that phone to keep working perfectly and in order. So you give warnings like do not expose to extreme heat.
The same way, God created a good and perfect world which had harmony and peace. He created the world in perfect condition and warned the first created man, Adam, not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Sadly, Adam and his wife did not obey the Manufacturer. They were tempted by the devil, disobeyed and ate the fruit. As a result, sin came into the world.
Romans 5 vs 12: Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—
Whenever a state of perfect harmony is broken; there has to be a repair process. The repair cannot happen if we fail to identify that there is a problem. The problem of our world right now is sin and the only solution is redemption. God sent Jesus to die on the cross to redeem men from sin and the effects of sin. Repentance from sin and faith in Christ Jesus is the only thing that can bring us into the reality of what God is doing in our age.
From the first day man sinned, God began a plan to restore His agenda to create a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells. There will be no sin and no effect of sin. There will be no more violence, no tears, no sorrow, no pain. When we get there, we will see a perfect restoration of God’s beautiful plan.
HOW TO BE A PART OF GOD’S BEAUTIFUL PLAN
Revelation 21:6-8 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Revelation 21:26 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
God is just; perfect and does everything with love. He created the world in perfect harmony and right now; He is working at restoring all things in such a way that nothing can ever cause decay again. The call is to believe that God is righteous and perfect. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God; because we must believe that He exists and diligently rewards those who seek Him. The call to know God is the call to believe He exists; repent from all known sin and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Currently, God is calling each and everyone by the preaching of the gospel to repent of their participation in this current decay the world is in and enter into a new spiritual kingdom of His dear Son Jesus Christ.
John 3 vs 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.
This current world has its fair share of troubles and suffering but when you repent and believe in Jesus as Savior you become born again and enter into a better hope (you are able to see the kingdom of God; John 3:3). A new and everlasting kingdom is opened before your eyes and you are empowered to live an obedient life pleasing to God and free from sin as you prepare to enter heaven at last. This hope heaven we speak about cannot be compared to the best of this world’s riches/fame/education or achievements.
This current world that we live in is passing away and destined to be destroyed because one day, the decay will be complete.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.(NKJV)
Today, God is calling you to be part of a better hope.
Galatians 1 vs 4 Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.
He wants you to be part of a better hope and have a blissful eternity. Accept that you are a sinner and recognize all the ways you have been a partaker in the rebellion against God and His perfect order. Recognize that Jesus alone can save you from sin and judgement and that He died to take your sins away. He rose again on the third day to give you a new life; a new reality; one where it is possible to live selflessly; lovingly and under God’s perfect government.
If you are ready to surrender your life to Christ today, please pray this prayer:
Dear God. Thank you for your perfect plan of redemption. I desire to be a part of your kingdom. Today, I repent of my lack of faith in you and from all the wicked things I have done. I put my faith in Jesus Christ who died for me on the cross and resurrected on the third day. I confess that He is my Savior and my Lord from today. Because of my genuine confession today, I know for sure that I am now born-again. I belong to the Kingdom of God and will be a part of the new heaven and new earth. Help me from today to stay connected with you Lord, my Creator. Give me good Christian friends who will teach me more about this new way I have chosen and help me to grow in knowledge of your perfect plan in Jesus name. Amen.
