GOOD STEWARDSHIP

GOOD STEWARDSHIP

GOOD STEWARDSHIP 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

1 Peter 4:10: As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (NKJV)

An understanding of stewardship can help us do what is right. In Apostle Paul’s letter to the Colossians he addresses relational matters. Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

A good steward remembers that he/she works for God. Stewardship is the job of supervising or taking care of something for example people or spiritual gifts.

A steward of God, even after attaining success, does not become puffed up or indifferent towards the things of God but remembers that he/she is a supervisor and caretaker of His gifts, including people.

Philippians 2 sheds some light on Christ’s example. Philippians 2: 3-4 states, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Let your mind too be lowly and full of compassion so that you do not act out of selfish ambition but out of an interest of others.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for the grace to be a steward of your grace. I pray for the ability to serve you and serve my brothers and sisters in Christ well. Please give me the grace to keep serving with a pure heart that is full of love in Jesus name. Amen.
