Cast your burdens on the Lord and He shall sustain you. He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. – Psalm 55:22

The Bible says that God’s promises are pure, like silver refined seven times over (Psalm 12:6).

While many Psalms were written mainly to give thanks to God, so many others were written to express how the Psalmists felt in time of crisis. In times of crises, they poured out their feelings to the God who alone truly knew how they were felt in difficult times.

As human beings, we all have feelings. We go through ups and downs, good times and bad times but in all situations, God understands and is thinking about us. Our God is an understanding God and He knows our pain. He feels for us.

You might be think God is far from you because of what you are going through, but the truth is that He is closer than you think. King David alluded to this in Psalm 23, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

God understands our feelings and He wants us to come to Him no matter how we might feel. He is calling us to cast our burdens on Him. In Matthew 11:28 Jesus said “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”

Whatever feelings or emotions you might have, go to Jesus. Jesus cares so tell it to Him. Jesus is a Friend that is well known to comfort us on every side.

Are you grieving or feeling sorrowful, tell it to Jesus, He promises comfort. Are you feeling down because you don’t know what to do, tell it to Jesus, He will direct you.

All you need do is draw near, He truly understands and He will surely help you.

PRAYER: Thank You Jesus for Your word today. Lord, I come to you and I cast all my cares and burdens on You. Thank You Jesus for hearing and answering me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
