IN HIM IS NO SIN

IN HIM IS NO SIN

IN HIM IS NO SIN 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

1 John 3:4-6: Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. (NKJV)

The scriptures contain abundant revelation about the nature and character of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is God, the Word, who took on a human nature so that you and I can be redeemed and reconciled to the Father. He was born of the virgin Mary and lived a perfectly holy life. Hebrews 4:15: For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

While He lived on this earth, He was tempted in every way but never sinned. This should greatly encourage us, who have been called to become like Him. Because He was not tainted with sin, He was able to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins on the cross of Calvary. 2 Corinthians 5:21: For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. (NLT)

His perfect sacrifice on the cross was accepted and therefore, we are reconciled to God the Father by faith in His death, burial and resurrection. His sacrifice to reconcile us to God also fulfilled another purpose: To redeem us from the power and hold of sin. Romans 6:10-11: For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NKJV)

When we repent and believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, we are given the power to say no to sin through His resurrection power. This is a crucial element of our faith. We are now in Christ and in Christ, sin has lost its power over us.

Are you a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ? Please hold on to this truth. Whoever lives a life of sin has not seen Jesus or known Him.

Galatians 2:16-17: knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!(NKJV)

1 John 2: 3-6: Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.(NKJV)

May God help us to truly know Him and live as He lived while He was on earth in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your word to me today. You are my High Priest who is Holy, Pure and Spotless. You gave me your nature at salvation so I can be like you as I abide in You and depend on Your grace. Please help me Lord to stay close to you always and walk like you walked. In You there is no sin Lord. In me there will be no sin as I abide in You in Jesus name. Amen.
