ITCHY EARS

ITCHY EARS 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. – 2 Timothy 4:3 (NIV)

We live in times when people prefer to listen to what is convenient and makes them feel good rather than what is true. This disposition is dangerous to spiritual health.

Ignoring spiritual truths and cherry-picking scriptures can lead to terrible eternal consequences.

God has given us the gift of choice, so we can choose to reject His counsel, but we cannot choose to avoid the consequences of our choice.

Make a decision today to  choose the whole counsel of God,  – hold fast to the truth.

2nd Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (NLT)

2nd Thessalonians 2:15 With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter. (NLT)

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank you for how much you love me. Your instruction, rebuke and counsel are all for my benefit. Please help me value the truth in your word and obey it wholeheartedly in Jesus name. Amen.
