Luke 2:11: For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (NKJV)
Today, we remember the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, into the world.
Just a reminder: this season, do not do what Jesus won’t approve of (1 John 3:5). Don’t celebrate His birth in places that would grieve Him. Don’t celebrate Christmas in sensuality, lusts, drunkenness or wild parties. Remember, the foundation of God stands sure. Everyone who names the name of Christ must depart from iniquity (2 Tim 2:19)
Because He came into the world many years ago, to die for you on the cross and save you from sin, we conclude that He died for you so that you should live for Him (2 Cor. 5:14-end); and not according to the lusts of men but to the will of God (1 Peter 4:1-5)
Remember: He is Savior and Judge and He is coming back again. He came the first time to save us from sin. At His Second Coming, He is coming for a chaste bride that is without sin. (Ephesians 5:25-27; Hebrews 9:27-28). The first time, it was “Christmas night”. The next time, it will be the great and glorious day of the Lord (Acts 2:20).
2 Peter 3 vs 14: But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him.
PRAYER: Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of your Son Jesus Christ. Please help me to focus on Jesus, the reason for this season, as I enjoy my holiday. Help me to set my gaze on Him and the hope of His return today and always in Jesus name. Amen.
