Psalm 121:1-2 KJV – ‘I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth’
If you are alive, you are bound to face obstacles. If you are alive, you are bound to need help.
There is not a person on this Earth who is an exception to these facts and you are not the only one to feel like every solution possible has been attempted to no avail.
It may feel like all options have been exhausted and there is literally nothing else to do. It may feel like your back is against the wall and all hope is lost. Friend, I submit to you that, as a child of the creator of heaven and earth, this is an opportunity. It is a wonderful opportunity although there is no doubt that it doesn’t feel like it.
You have a Helper who wants to guide and help you. God is present and He promises to never leave you or forsake you. These are not just empty words because God’s presence is an assurance of our ultimate victory. Remember 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” This is the assurance we have with God by our side.
We should therefore develop the habit of looking up to God the Helper of the helpless because He is all the help we need. When you are faced with trials, tribulations, persecutions and all manner of hardship: Look up. Do not allow what you are going through to cause you to look down to yourself, the circumstances or at others around.
First look up to God.When you look up, you’ll realize that He is an ever present help in the time of need. Lift up your eyes beloved. There is more than enough help from Abba Father.

Thoughts
What are some of the challenges that you know you need help with?
Can you say you have been looking up to Jesus concerning those challenges?

PRAYER: Lord help me to realize that you are all the help that I need. May I always look to you and not rely on my strength in Jesus’ name. Amen.
