MAN OF SORROWS

MAN OF SORROWS

MAN OF SORROWS 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

Isaiah 53:3 AMP – “He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him.”

Some years ago I went through a lot of losses and it felt like there was no break in between. As I started to reflect on all that had taken place I began to wonder to myself, “Does God see what I’m going through?”

Then a song by Davy Flowers entitled ‘Wounded One’ started to play. As I listened to the words of the song I was struck by the part that spoke of the Man of Sorrows. In that moment I realized that God could relate to my pain. Jesus Himself is acquainted with grief. No matter what we face, He is there. HE is present and knows how we feel.

Do you feel like God is not aware of your pain? Maybe you’re facing thoughts that make you wonder how you will overcome sorrow. Beloved, God is there. The Holy Spirit is available to comfort you.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to realize that you are with me even in my darkest moments. Father, comfort all who are grieving and enable them to experience your love and presence like never before. Amen.
