MENTORSHIP

MENTORSHIP

MENTORSHIP 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

1 Corinthians 11:1: Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ (NIV)

Mentorship is needed in some capacity in all our lives!

Why? Because God leads us not only directly, but through human beings He places in our lives to challenge us.

Look at the example of Paul and Timothy. Paul also reminds the brethren in 1 Corinthians 4:15-17 that he is their spiritual father and that they should copy how he lives!

1 Cor. 4:15-17: For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I urge you, then, be imitators of me. That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church. (NIV)

There are parts of God that will be clearly and directly revealed to you as you walk with Him, and there are parts of Him you learn through various godly examples.

Mentorship can definitely be uncomfortable but it is an opportunity to grow: an avenue through which we can become more like Jesus.

There are many different mentors one can encounter in life. We just need to pray and ask God to direct our steps when picking a mentor.

He will lead you to people that will help you grow in Christ.

PRAYER: Father, connect me with the right kind of mentors that will help me grow in the knowledge of you. Teach me to humbly receive the corrections and instructions of these individuals in Jesus Name. Amen.
