Time is a maze Mature ones learned of intelligent design
Built by a Craftsman—a peculiar maze only one of its sort They keep eyes to the hills for the plan He’s defined
Time is a maze They turn when He says and stop when He doesn’t,
Built by a father longing for friendship, crying, “RESTORE!” For over the years He has proven Himself
See, the maze has a function—yes, something was lost The maze has its charms—it seemed safe when it was the illusion of comfort
An innocence broken The illusion of wealth
An insurmountable cost Some teachers have fallen and distractions aren’t gone, but ears have been tuned And so they walk on
A great interruption The still small voice
The creature chose its own cause its own light, its own way, false freedom, first flaws He knows every turn; He speaks in a way that the humble discern
An enemy came To grow is to know
And sowed sweet nothings that the first man believed To know is to need
And sullied the flock The help of the Craftsman to guide and to lead again
So time was built To grow is to know
A raft constructed To know is to need
That shipwrecked lineage might again find the Rock The help of the Craftsman to guide and to lead
Or, not? He knows the truth
It seems after a while of walking the aisles searching for meaning, searching for miles A perilous secret
Some grow wise, some slow down, some clear space, some claim ground Not all who walk find peace in the end
“Let’s break down the walls!” Some take control Eternity brings a permanent seal
To hell with the maze To every man’s fate that none can offend
To hell we will go Time is a maze
There’s great fun to be had, nothing left to decide Built by a Craftsman, a peculiar maze only one of its sort
For all of life’s pleasures are here on this side Time is a maze
They call time “life” Built by a Father longing for friendship, crying, “RESTORE1”
Time is all that they know but real life starts at the end of time’s road

Inspiring scriptures:

Isaiah 42:22 (ESV): But this is a people plundered and looted; they are all of them trapped in holes and hidden in prisons, they have become plunder with none to rescue, spoil with none to say, “Restore!”

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (ESV): He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Mark 4:4-8 (NIV): As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”

Hebrews 5:14 (ESV): But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

Romans 5:17 (ESV): For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Luke 12:16-21 (NIV): And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
