John 8:31: Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. (NKJV)
Today’s devotional is a reminder from scripture to abide and endure as believers. Please meditate on the following scriptures from the book of Hebrews and be reminded of the need to continually abide in Christ and not give up no matter what. There is sufficient grace to do so.
Hebrews 3: 6,12-14: But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;
Hebrews 10: 35-38: 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
Hebrews 12:1-2 : Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for your word. Please give me the grace to endure and remain in you no matter what comes my way in Jesus name. Amen.
