And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick for days; afterward I arose and went about the king’s business. I was astonished by the vision, but no one understood it. – Daniel 8:27

An angel of God appeared to Daniel and interpreted a vision he had. Despite this, Daniel was still astonished by it and no one else understood it.

The vision and its interpretation affected Daniel so much that he fell sick and fainted. Even in the midst of this, Daniel got up and resumed his habit of faithful service to the king.

Similarly, there may be times when you do not understand what God desires to accomplish through a situation.

You may even be physically afflicted by the shock or a lack of understanding of what is happening.

Thankfully, God is not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33). If you ask Him for clarity and peace, He will surely respond.

Knowing this, we should also be faithful in our service to the Most High King. Let us persevere in those difficult moments when it hurts to do so. Why? Because God is worthy.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to understand your will for my life. Give me peace in the areas where I am nervous, anxious or confused. And through it all, help me to remain faithful to You and never grow tired of serving You.
