Genesis 8:22: “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”(NIV).
Today’s devotional is a timely reminder about the biblical principle of sowing and reaping.
Kindly meditate on the following scriptures and repent of anyway you may have been sowing wrongly. Be encouraged to continue sowing the right seeds in every aspect of your life and choose to always be patient and never give up on doing good.
Remember: as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will never cease.
Galatians 6:7-8: Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. (NLT)
2 Timothy 2:3-7: You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things. (NKJV)
Galatians 6:9-10: So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. (NLT)
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for your revelation about sowing and reaping. Your word says that I will surely reap what I sow. In keeping with your word, I repent from every way I have been sowing wrongly. I choose afresh to sow in righteousness and with the attitude of patience. By your grace O Lord, I know I will surely reap the fruits of righteousness and rejoice in your goodness in Jesus name. Amen.
