STRONG CONSOLATION

STRONG CONSOLATION

STRONG CONSOLATION 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

Matthew 5 vs 4: Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. (KJV)

Consolation: the comfort received by a person after a loss or disappointment. A person or thing providing comfort to a person who has suffered.

Let us take a look at a biblical illustration of strong consolation:

John 16 vs 21 (KJV) – A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born, she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.

Have you ever been in labor? Have you ever seen a woman in labor? Can you imagine the kind of pain women go through during delivery? It gets so terrible that while under birth pangs some women promise never to have children again.

Wonder what happens to all the pain after the child is born?

The pain disappears, she forgets her pain because she is happy to see her newborn. The joy of having a newborn makes every mother forget her pain like it never happened.

Ever wondered why Jesus did not give up despite the shame of public nakedness and death on the cross? Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (KJV)

Isaiah 53 vs 11: He shall see [the fruit] of the travail of His soul and be satisfied….(AMPC)

Right now, you might be in terrible labor pains concerning what God has promised you; but God is speaking now that soon; you will birth the promise and forget all your painsApostle Paul shared a beautiful insight in II Corinthians 5 vs 4: While we live in this tent, we have burdens and so we complain. I don’t mean that we want to remove this tent, but we want to be clothed with our heavenly home…… (ERV)

The same way, when God brings you consolation. The consolation will swallow up your pains and you will rejoice.

I do not know what you may be going through at this moment, but God is promising you that if you patiently endure in faith and don’t give up; if you don’t deny Him; if you don’t give up, look back or settle for ungodly ways out of your trial; there is a strong consolation waiting for you.

The process you are going through now is a light affliction compared to the glory to be revealed in you. (2 Corinthians 4:17). He is promising you a sure consolation that would dwarf all your pains. With the consolation God is bringing your way; you will forget all your pains.

PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the promise of a strong consolation. I joyfully look forward to the day when I will forget all my pains as I hold on to the fulfillment of your promise for my life in Jesus name. Amen.
