THAT I MAY KNOW HIM

THAT I MAY KNOW HIM

THAT I MAY KNOW HIM 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

Phillipians 3:7-10: But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. (NKJV)

God desires that we know Him intimately, hence John the beloved apostle of Christ said “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent (John 17:3).

An avid reader may possess intellectual knowledge, but there is an experiential knowledge that leads to intimate personal worship of God, progressing to a deeper level of knowing.

Paul, a Jewish Pharisee who was circumcised on the eighth day had an intellectual knowledge of God (Phillipians 3:5). However, after a saving knowledge on Damascus road(Acts Chapter 9), Paul earnestly yearned for a deeper intimate experience in the knowledge of Christ (Phillipians 3:10).

Do you desire a deeper revelation of God?

The Holy Spirit will show you the way and send teachers to you as you continue in fellowship, study the Bible and humble yourself in prayer.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I want to know you more. Open my inner eyes of understanding and reveal yourself to me. I truly desire a greater and growing intimacy in my knowledge of you. Please, help me to be a true worshiper in spirit and in truth. In Jesus’ name I pray.
