THE BODY OF CHRIST

THE BODY OF CHRIST

THE BODY OF CHRIST 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

1 Corinthians 12:27: All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. (NLT)

What makes the body of Christ Unique?

– We are members of one another, intricately connected and needing each other for survival like members of the human body. (Ephesians 4:4-6, 1 Corinthians 12:27)

– We are baptized into the same Spirit who lives in all of us; and does His work in us (Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:11).

– We have the same hope: To be conformed to the image of Christ and to be like Him when He returns. (Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 John 3:1-3; Romans 8:29)

– We have One Lord: The Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:4-6)

– We have One faith: Faith in the Son of God (Ephesians 4:4-6)

– We have One Baptism: Into Christ (Ephesians 4:4-6; Romans 6:3-4)

– We have One God, The Father of us all, who is above all, is working through all (of us) and is in all (of us) (Ephesians 4:4-6)

– We are family: We have the same Father and therefore, we are brothers and sisters.

– We operate by different rules from the world: Founded on the doctrine of Christ and His apostles: the doctrine according to godliness. (1 Timothy 6:3)

– Prayer, fellowship and doing life together in holiness and transparency is our lifestyle. (Acts 2:1; Acts 2:42)

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the grace to be a member of your body. Please give me the grace to stay plugged in and play my role as a member of your body. Open my eyes Lord that I may comprehend the inheritance I have among your sanctified people. Help me Lord to edify the church as I enjoy all the benefits of being in the body of Christ in Jesus name. Amen.
