THE REVELATION OF CHRIST

THE REVELATION OF CHRIST

THE REVELATION OF CHRIST 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

Matthew 16:16-18: Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (NIV)

Christ is the solid Rock, our Foundation. If we build the house of our life based on a revelation of Him, we will not be shaken because He cannot be shaken.

The more Jesus is revealed to us, the more we perceive, and the more we believe. We see all over the scriptures that as Jesus revealed Himself through demonstration and fulfillment of the word, the more the people, and even His disciples believed.

For instance, the woman at the well believed after she perceived Jesus revealing Himself to her as the Living water and the Messiah. Her testimony, birthed from revelation, began a catalyst of revival that occurred in Samaria as the people believed in Christ through her testimony, and then believed more, when Jesus Himself stayed and spoke to them (and they perceived Him) “’Many more believed in Him [with a deep, abiding trust] because of His word [His personal message to them]; ‘ John 4:41 (AMP) – [Full passage in John chapter 4].

Nathaniel also believed after an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. He declared: “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” (John 1:49).

Be encouraged to open your Bible today. Read, study and pray for the Lord to reveal Himself to you and build your life on His truth.

PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for your revelation today. Please help me to know you. Help me to believe in you and have a strong prayer life built on faith in You and You alone. You are my solid foundation, help me to not be shaken as I build my life on You in Jesus name. Amen.
