The search for wisdom is for our own good. Wisdom is the principal thing. Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. – Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV)
So why is wisdom valuable?
Wisdom is so valuable because God said it is (Check out Proverbs 4:5-10).
By wisdom God founded the earth and by understanding He established the heavens (Proverbs 4:7, 3:19). Wisdom is important for our growth and development as children of God. Wisdom is important so go get it and as you get it, get understanding by applying it.
- It grants a treasure of common sense to the honest and humble
- It is a shield to the those who walk with integrity and uprightness (Proverbs 2:7b)
- It guards the path of justice and protects those who are faithful to God (Proverbs 2:8)
- Wisdom is profitable to direct (Ecclesiastes 10:10)
- Wisdom helps you see things the way God sees them
- It will save you from wicked and the evil one (Proverbs 2:12-15)
- It will save you from the immoral woman or man (Proverbs 2:16-22)
PRAYER: Thank You God for Your Word today. Please Lord, make this teaching about wisdom true and practical in my own life. Pour out Your wisdom upon me and give me the grace to apply it into my life daily in Jesus Name. Amen.
