THROUGH HEAVEN’S EYES

THROUGH HEAVEN’S EYES

THROUGH HEAVEN’S EYES 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. – Psalm 90:4

What is one life amidst a thousand years? : A blink, a twinkle.

Yet in that blink, in that twinkle, God is immensely involved.

God chooses to step into what is very small to Him, and walk with us. He doesn’t belittle our existence or erase what is only a small colony of frail creatures to Him. He enters the little twinkle and shows us what we can be, who we are when we believe.

Try to look at things through God’s eyes, and ask yourself what the bigger picture might be.

If God stepped out of eternity, to create your little lifetime, only for you to go back to this endless eternity when you die, then eternity is a lot more significant than you think isn’t it?

Most of your existence will be spent in eternity. Shouldn’t that be the place we are concerned about the most?

Let’s look at one more example. Retirement.

People spend their whole lives planning for their retirement; where they’re going to live, with who, how much money they’ll have, what they’ll do for fun, and this typically is a period that only lasts about 15 years of your life.

Most of your life is spent working, so you can enjoy a small period of rest at the end.

How much more should we work to enjoy eternity, that will never end?

This is food for thought.

PRAYER: Thank you for your great mercy Father. Thank you for valuing my life and for creating me. Lord I’ve gotten so caught up in temporary things, and I want to see things through your eyes. Please help me to number my days, that I might gain a heart of wisdom. Renew my mind, and help me to live for eternity. Let my life be sowed unto You and your Kingdom, in Jesus name, Amen.
