WALK WORTHY OF YOUR CALLING

WALK WORTHY OF YOUR CALLING

WALK WORTHY OF YOUR CALLING 150 150 Bethel Campus Fellowship

Ephesians 4:1: Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. (NLT)

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are objects of God’s mercy. God in His mercy sent Jesus Christ to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our sins on the cross of Calvary. We are saved by grace through faith, and not by our works or any good thing we could have done. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:3-7).

As His chosen people, who are washed by the blood of Jesus, God is calling us to be His special vessels in this world. He desires that through us, the world will be drawn to Him.

Today’s devotional highlights a few scriptures that point out this truth. Kindly meditate on them and be encouraged to walk worthy of the reason for which God called you to Himself.

He is calling you to be His special treasure.

He is calling you to deny yourself and live for Jesus, the One who loves you and died for you.

He is calling you to live a holy and sanctified life that is separate from all the filth and wickedness in the world.

He is calling you to show forth His glory and shine the light of Christ to the world around you.

May God give you the grace to walk worthy of your calling in Jesus name. Amen.

Exodus 19:4-6: ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians. You know how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.” (NLT)

1 Thessalonians 2:12: We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory. (NLT)

1 Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (NKJV)

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the privilege to be called by you. Please help me to walk worthy of the reason for which you called me to yourself in Jesus Christ. In everything I do, let it be my goal to know you and make you known to the world around me in Jesus name. Amen.
