I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord! – Psalm 27:13-14 (NKJV)
Active faith in God is a journey.
Given this understanding, we have to borrow a leaf from the examples of those ahead of us in the faith as we run our race and anticipate God’s intervention while we are waiting.
King David shared a profound truth: “No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Psalm 84:11.
While you are waiting, : walk uprightly, serve God in faith and seek diligently to please Him, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrew 11:6).
Like Abraham, be in communion with God to understand what He is saying concerning your heart desire PER TIME.
He desires always to provide us all that we need to be equipped for a life of godliness (2nd Peter 1:3). He is not a Man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). He is not slack about keeping His promise to you. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some men count slackness (2 Peter 3:9a).
Let this attitude of uprightness, service to God and faith be in you while you wait for a marriage partner, for a house, for a car, for regularization of your immigration status or whatever you are trusting God for.
PRAYER – Lord, teach me to love you deeply, commune with you daily and serve you joyfully while I wait. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
