Psalms 46:10 NIV – ‘He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’’
As humans, we look to people in authority to solve our problems.
When there is strife or economic distress in the country, everyone looks to the president.
So then, how much more should we be looking to the God who made us and is exalted above the earth and all nations (Psalm 46:10)? The earth and everything belongs to Him and He watches over us with His faithful eyes of love. (Psalm 24:1, Psalm 121;4)
As issues arise in earthly kingdoms, the subjects put more hope in their leaders. As a believer, whenever you need clarity or face daunting challenges, lean unto God and seek His face. He welcomes us to cast all our burdens on Him (1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 11:28). Take advantage of His invitation and rest in the fact that you have a King who is your heavenly Father and His job is to take care of you.
PRAYER: Thank you Lord, my King and heavenly Father. You have all power and authority. Please teach me how to look to you and seek your face for all things and at all times. Help me to cast all my cares upon you, I know and I am sure that you care for me and have all the answers I will ever need. In Jesus name. Amen.
