Romans 8:37 KJV – ‘Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.’
How do you see yourself?
Are you a champion? Or as a loser?
How you perceive yourself is important because it affects the way you relate to others. God calls us to genuine, not surface level community. Insecurity gets in the way of that.
It is not hard to discern insecurity in others. They seem to carry a cloud of inferiority with them everywhere they go. It comes out in their attitude, their words and their expectations.
On the other hand, if you’ve ever met individuals with self-confidence, it’s easy to recognize. Why? Because a confident person exudes confidence. Which type of person do you enjoy being around? Which type of person can you see yourself developing a deep friendship with? More often than not we enjoy and desire to build deep relationships with the people that bring positivity and encouragement rather than negativity and doubtful thinking.
Romans 8:37 declares, “…we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” That’s precisely who you are in Jesus Christ! Stop thinking of yourself as a struggling loser because it’s not true. Regardless of your past experiences, look at yourself through God’s eyes and in the light of Romans 8:37.
This verse declares that you are always the winner and never a loser! In fact, you are more than a winner. Situations that seem impossible and past experiences that are usually near impossible to shake don’t apply to you. You are MORE than a conqueror.
When you begin to see yourself the way God sees you, it will open the door for deeper and healthier relationships.
Resolve right now to see yourself the way the Word of God does — as a conquering force! You are more than a match for any adversary or foe that would come against you today!
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for making me a phenomenal, conquering force! Because of what Jesus has done for me, I am no longer a struggling loser. Instead, I possess the power to be an enormous overcomer! Holy Spirit help me take my eyes off my past failures so I can focus on the power of the resurrection that lives inside me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
